I have been doing hairdressing for many years and although I have done very well out of it I feel it is time to change and do something else. Would you advise me to go sell out and go into a related business or do something completely different?

It always amazes me that somebody who says they have done extremely well out of hairdressing, suddenly thinks they can do better at something else. If hairdressing is your passion and that passion is fading a little. Give somebody else a chance. You say that you have done well out of it so promote somebody. Place somebody who wants to be at the top in charge and employ more stylists. Advertise and turn your salon into a place that you can enjoy going to even if it is only once a week. No need to sell or en***ber your income whilst you hunt for something to do. We all get the urge to expand but like most you may find that you will either return to hairdressing or open a new salon and feel the excitement of achievement all over again. If you don't own a chain of salons and you think you know your trade well enough. Start another and make your stylists managers.
